What Bahá'ís Do
Bahá'ís are engaged in a pattern of activities open to everyone — prayer, study, the education of children and youth, and service to society.
Core Activities
Four Activities, One Purpose
Devotional Gatherings
Spaces of prayer and reflection open to everyone.
Devotional Gatherings
In homes, courtyards and community centres, neighbours gather to pray, sing and read from the sacred writings of the world's religions.
Anyone may attend and no one is asked to share a particular belief. The gatherings nurture the spiritual roots of community life.
“O Son of Being! Love Me, that I may love thee. If thou lovest Me not, My love can in no wise reach thee.”
— Bahá'u'lláhStudy Circles
A study circle is a small group, guided by a tutor, that studies materials of the Ruhi Institute in an atmosphere of shared learning.
Participants explore themes such as prayer, the life of the soul and service, and then put what they learn into action in their neighbourhood.

Classes are open to families of every faith and are taught by volunteers from the neighbourhood.
Junior Youth Groups
Young people aged 12 to 14 meet in small groups to read, discuss, create and carry out service projects together.
At a decisive stage of life, the programme strengthens their sense of purpose and their ability to contribute to their community.
